Sublime Catering Experienced Chef Bay of Plenty

our story

Established in 2008 and situated in the scenic Eastern Bay of Plenty, Sublime Catering began as a small, start up business. It continues to grow every year and with its reputation of providing outstanding food, word of mouth has always been their best advertising.

Cooking from scratch, using locally sourced, seasonal produce is a fundamental part of their catering. We only use real ingredients such as butter in our baking and our pastries are choc full of all the good stuff. We like to ensure our food not only looks great, but is full of bold, fresh flavours you can recognize.

Sublime Catering takes pride in providing a personal, friendly service. We have a comprehensive range of menus to choose from and can advise on the best options for you. You can choose to pick up directly from our kitchen but we also offer prompt delivery and set up at your chosen venue. If you require waitressing or full service we can provide that as well.

Whether you are organising business and conference catering, a private celebration or anything in between, you can be assured that Sublime Catering will come to the party!

Our Food

At Sublime Catering, we pride ourselves on preparing our food from scratch, using the freshest of ingredients. Our baked goods including whole breads, buns and delicious finger food pastries are made and baked on-site in our rural commercial kitchen. We take care in ensuring our food celebrates its true flavour, is presented with flair and that every dish tastes sublime.

Sublime Catering operates out of a fully registered commercial kitchen in the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty. We follow the Simply Safe and Suitable Food Control Plan managed by the Whakatane District Council. Our staff are trained on site in all areas of food safety relevant to our scope of operation and follow best practice personal and food hygiene directives outlined by management.

doing our bit

At Sublime Catering we are committed to observing best practice where we can in an effort to preserve and protect our environment.

We make our own chutneys, relishes and dips for our platters. We have an orchard and garden where we source many of the fresh ingredients. We even share our famous Tomato Kasundi at the local market!

In addition to sourcing as many of our ingredients locally, we only use biodegradable or recyclable serving containers and cutlery.
